Before video gaming consoles and computers started to take over, kids used to spend most of their time playing with toy cars, action figures and dolls. Boys would play with cars and action figures while girls would play with dolls and teddy bears. Television was watched less often by kids because there wasn't as many children's programmes as are now available and those kids played with their toy forts or rearranged their dolls house furniture.
