48 Law Enforcement Officers Killed In Line of Duty In 2009
According to an FBI press release dated today, October 18, 2010, forty eight law officers were killed feloniously during the calendar year or 2009. Although such crimes are down from figures taken five and ten years ago where there were 55 (2005) and 51 in (2000), they showed an increase of seven over the 2008 figure of 41.
These are horrifying figures and show the courage of our local, state and federal
